100 Theme Challenge 2011 - 37 - Red

I realize I'm terribly late in uploading the remainder of these pieces, but they were all written within 2011, just not uploaded.

This piece is an Italian sonnet, and was initially inspired by ~Miss-Deathwish's piece "Eat Up" [link] She does amazing photography and poetry so you should definitely check out her work if you have not already.

Here's an alternate version of the closing sestet; I never decided which I preferred:
For his fealty shall be forcef'ly tried
In order my dark appetite to sate.
Any hunter who twas told and shied
From the knowledge that fellow men should die
Will be seen next upon the plate
His fate the very act that he decried
